Morgan Manufacturing is a renovated pre-Chicago Fire building at 401 North Morgan in Fulton Market. Over 32,000 square feet across a main hall, mezzanine, and outdoor courtyard, with soaring ceilings, exposed concrete, glass, and steel. Capacity runs up to 600 seated, 1,700 standing. The building was redesigned for modularity, meaning the room you walk into in April is not the room you walk into in October, because every wedding builds its own floor plan, drapery, and lighting rig from scratch. Project String Quartet has performed at 200+ Chicago-area weddings, rated 5.0 on Google, with conservatory-trained musicians on every booking.
Empty, the space is acoustically bright and long. A row of arriving guests, a tented drape ceiling, ten-foot florals, and a dance floor with pad underneath change that completely. The working assumption for strings is that the room as it is finalized for your wedding is the room we are tuning to, not the room we rehearsed in last week. Founder Rebecca Hamilton, a conservatory-trained violinist, sets the standard for every booking, and the quartet's Bridgerton-style pop arrangements alongside full classical repertoire fit naturally in Morgan's dramatic setting. You can browse the full music library or use the playlist builder to map out your ceremony and cocktail hour.
Because every event is a custom build, we scout the layout with the planner in the week leading up to the date and confirm our position relative to DJ speaker stacks, band risers, and the final drape plan. If you're still comparing options, our guide to choosing a wedding string quartet walks through exactly what to ask every ensemble you contact.
