About Westwind Hills

Westwind Hills is a private estate wedding venue sitting on 31 acres of rolling Missouri hills, about 12 minutes from Wildwood Town Center in Pacific. The property was designed from the ground up as a full-day wedding destination, with multiple ceremony sites, a covered veranda overlooking the valley, and the Charleston Room for seated receptions. It's one of the finest outdoor ceremony settings in the St. Louis area, and it draws couples who want an estate feel without leaving the city behind.

What sets Westwind apart is flow. Couples choose from three ceremony locations (two outdoor, one indoor), and guests move naturally from ceremony to veranda cocktail hour to reception without the awkward bus rides or venue flips that most St. Louis estate weddings require. Because the property is truly all-season, we play Westwind Hills in every month of the year, from spring garden ceremonies to candlelit December receptions by the fireplace. If you're still deciding on music style, our string quartet vs. DJ guide walks through why live strings read differently in a room like Charleston than a DJ setup does.

As a preferred vendor, we've worked closely with the Westwind team and know the room dimensions, the outlet locations, the sun patterns on the ceremony lawn, and the cue points their coordinators use. That familiarity means less back-and-forth for you and a smoother ceremony for your guests. Project String Quartet has performed at 200+ St. Louis weddings, holds a 5.0 Google rating, and every musician on our roster is conservatory-trained. Founder Rebecca Hamilton built the ensemble around one principle: classical precision paired with the pop arrangements couples actually want, from Vivaldi to Bridgerton-style Taylor Swift. String Quartet Logistics at Westwind Hills

Details we've dialed in from performing across the estate.

Outdoor Ceremony Setup

For ceremonies on the outdoor lawn, we arrive early to scout the wind and sun line, then angle the quartet so instruments sit in shade whenever possible. A small battery amp handles the 320-guest maximum outdoors, and we bring weighted stands and clothespin clips so nothing drifts in Missouri breezes.

Charleston Room & Veranda

The Charleston Room holds up to 220 seated and has warm, controlled acoustics that suit strings beautifully. For cocktail hour on the veranda, we position near the interior wall so the sound wraps across the covered space rather than escaping into the valley.

Weather Plan

Westwind's three-ceremony-site design means no one is ever scrambling. If rain shifts your outdoor ceremony indoors, we relocate in under five minutes. We pre-balance both rooms during the rehearsal window, so no sound check is needed mid-shuffle.
